Bounty Trial pushed back to June 6

Bounty Killer, will have more time to prepare for his pending ganja trial as he continues to recover from the death of his mother.

The Alliance leader, who faces marijuana possession charges from an October 2010 incident in New Kingston, was due to begin his trial on Wednesday at the Corporate Area Resident Magistrates Court in Kingston. However, presiding Resident Magistrate, Maxine Ellis granted the internationally acclaimed deejay bereavement following the death of his mother, Ivy ‘Miss Ivy’ Williams late last month.

As a result, Bounty Killer’s trial will now commence on June 6.
Ivy Williams passed away at the Medical Associates Hospital in St. Andrew on February 26 after losing her battle with cancer. A nine night was held in her honor last week Monday in Bounty Killer’s home community of Seaview Gardens in Kingston where several industry peers attended and offered condolences to the ‘War Lord.’
The funeral service for Miss Ivy will take place on Saturday at Swallowfield Baptist Church.
