Get ready for one of the biggest soca shows ever, “Soca Showdown” which is slated to hit the Land of Many Waters on July 31, at the Guyana National Stadium, Providence.
Three of the amazing bands that will be performing are KES the Band, Bunji Garling & wife FayeAnn Lyons plus Destra and her band. These bands are promising electrifying performances for ANSA McAL Trading’s 20th anniversary concert, and are assuring that they will be igniting the National Stadium.
Kes the Band’s lead singer, Kees Dieffenthaller is known for his vocal range, stage presence, good looks, and uncanny ability to mimic popular artists. The band’s unique blend of soulful vocals and calypso-inspired melodies, over a fusion of rock riffs and island beats, can best be described as Caribbean pop. This style has elevated Kes to stardom, allowing the band to become a household name in Trinidad and Tobago and throughout the Caribbean circuit.
Destra remains the leading female soca artiste of the Caribbean. She has been one of the most requested singers internationally for her signature high-energy performances since her 1999 debut and has been showing no signs of slowing down — challenging herself every year, taking her music and her fans along for the exciting journey.
