Former contestant of Miss Universe 2012 and Miss Guyana World 2011, Seistra Allen is hoping that she will be successful in the Miss Teen Universal Pageant, which is being held in Barbados.
Allen, who is now studying in Barbados at the Barbados Community College where she is pursuing an associate’s degree in Theatre Arts, has a deep love for pageantry. She said she will continue to strive for excellence and make Guyana proud.
The pageant takes place on November 11, and Seistra will compete in national costume, talent, swimwear, evening gown and Interview segments against delegates from around the world.
Although she admitted it will be challenging to win the crown, her main focus is on making herself a strong contestant so that she would come out victorious. Allen has been training extremely hard under the guidance of the Andrew Harris Collection and KoBra Management Caribbean. Her trainers explained that she is dedicated and has a very positive outlook. For the pageant, her gown will be designed by Barbadian powerhouse designer Lester Welch who has a reputation for winning the best gown titles on the island.
Allen and her team are still in the process of securing her national costume and swimsuit, which both have to represent Guyana.
Remember the name Seistra Allen, as she assures that this will not be the last time you hear her name: she sees herself playing a starring role in a daytime television soap opera and aspires to be the face of Cover Girl Cosmetics.
