At this year’s GuyExpo, other than the exhibits, the entertainment aspect will be something to see. This evening, the fashion-conscious among us will have the opportunity to witness some of the best designs from local designers. The fashion show gets underway at 18:30h in the fashion village. Headlining the evening will be Guyana’s fashion icon, Sonia Noel with her new line “Makin Style”. There will also be designs by Melessa Payne, Olympia Small, Amanza Glen, Cindy Francois, Michelle Cole, Fiona Coats, Natasha Calverira, and Randy Madray.
On Saturday, Jamaican reggae artiste I-Octane will headline the Arthur Guinness Day concert. This will be the first time an artiste of this magnitude will be performing at the GuyExpo. Guinness DJs and Guyana’s own Jumo Primo will entertain the revellers before I-Octane takes to the stage. The Mingles band will also be entertaining the huge crowd. The show is open to all patrons with admission to the expo, and 200 VIP tickets will be given away.
The expo will culminate with GT&T giving away a brand new house via a game show, which will start at 18:00h. The jingle and song competition winners, Brandon Harding and Gail Ann Singh, among others, will be steaming up things during the show. The Feel the Beat dancers will also be performing.
The children will not be left out during the four-day exposition. They will have a chance to mix and mingle with various cartoon characters and WWE superstar Ezekiel Jackson.
