I-Octane is set to headline the Arthur Guinness Day live concert in Guyana on Saturday, September 29. The show will be a major feature of the annual GuyExpo to be staged at the Sophia Exhibition Site in Guyana. The concert is one in the series of global Arthur Guinness Day celebrations slated to begin on September 23.
This is the first time an artiste of this magnitude will be performing at the GuyExpo. IOctane is looking forward to performing in Guyana “I got a great reception from the Guinness fans in Jamaica last year and I was honoured that Guinness wanted me to be a part of their celebrations. I’m looking forward to seeing my fans in Guyana and giving them a great show” he said. The versatile sing-jay will entertain Guyanese fans with powerful hits such as My Story, Jiggle Fi Mi, L.O.V.E. Y.O.U., Burn Dem Bridge and My Life among others. Guinness DJs and Guyana’s own Jomo will entertain the revelers before I-Octane dominates the stage.
Earlier this year, Guinness Caribbean engaged the talent of I-Octane to produce a new radio commercial. The alcoholic beverage brand embraced its ties with dancehall and music fans through the jingle and its relationship with the artiste.
Arthur Guiness Day is a series of music events which was first organized in 2009 to celebrate the 250-year legacy of the exemplary visionary Arthur Guinness, founder of the Guinness brewing company.
The show is open to all patrons with admission to the expo. 200 VIP tickets to the concert will be given away by the organizers through targeted promotions, including Facebook. There will be no tickets sold for the event, and patrons can get access to VIP tickets via the various promotions.
Guyana will also participate in the live stream of the Arthur’s Day concert in Jamaica on Thursday, September 27 which features one of Guinness Jamaica’s 50 greatest icons Sizzla, rising dancehall star Popcaan along with Destra Garcia and Kerwin Du Bois out of Trinidad. Fans of the Guinness Caribbean Facebook page can watch the show’s live streaming on the page.
Thousands of patrons are expected for the one-night only concert. Other Caribbean concerts in the series include major celebrations in the Bahamas on Saturday September 29.
