Richie Stephens & Gentleman release album

Richie Stephens and Gentleman have proven that their unique talents can be meshed to great success and, as a result, the Reggae superstars will put their compatibility to the test with the release of a combination album.

After dropping a pair of top ten hits together, including the track, Warrior, Richie Stephens and Gentleman will unveil a 12-track compilation named after their award-winning single, Live Your Life. The album, which will be released in October via VP Records, will feature six joint efforts by Richie Stephens and Gentleman as well as three individual efforts each by the highly-acclaimed entertainers.

Gentleman, currently in Jamaica to complete Live Your Life, insists that the album will be an ear-pleaser for music fans. “It is nice to see how things have turned out with the album. We have some excellent songs that fans are gonna really enjoy,” Gentleman said via press release.

“The project came out of a natural vibe between the two of us without being planned. We put a lot of work into the songs and I am very happy with the finished product.” Some of the combination singles that will appear on Live Your Life include I Found Heaven, Jah Is Not Sleeping, as well as the aforementioned Warrior and the album’s title track, Live Your Life. Additionally, Stephens records three singles for the compilation including Drift Away while Gentleman offers efforts such as Dutty Soul.

Richie Stephens, renowned for classics such as Take Me Away and Pot of Gold intimated that Live Your Life might be his best project to date.

“This is probably one of the most sophisticated albums I have ever recorded,” Stephens said.

“We have a little something for everyone including an old school track that fans are really gonna love. The rest of the album is just as impressive.” Richie Stephens and Gentleman topped several charts across the world with their Live Your Life single, reaching number one across Reggae charts in the United States (New York, Atlanta and Florida) as well as winning the Best International Song award at the Stone Love Awards last year. Furthermore, the visuals for Live Your Life won the honor of Best Music Video at the International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA) in Chicago this past July.

The duo have also performed several shows in Europe together, highlighted by their performance at the internationally-acclaimed Woodstock festival in Poland, which drew over 750,000 people. Richie Stephens and Gentleman plan to give fans a taste of what to expect from their Live Your Life compilation as they will perform at American Friends of Jamaica Ball in Manhattan, NY on October 25 before heading to the Bronx on the following day, where they will host the album launch. Dub Master Chris, the prominent host from New York based radio outlet, Irie Jam Radio will be the MC for this event.
