Stag Lager Beer has teamed up with young, upcoming producer, First Klase to produce what some in the music world say can be one of the biggest soca rhythms for Carnival 2013.
The Stag Riddim 4D plays off of the new sounds of soca, with influences from house, pop and grunge genres. First Klase, real name Klase Gonzales, came up with the idea of the Stag rhythm earlier this summer. Stag immediately jumped on board, collaborating with the producer on what type of sound they thought would be unique, yet unmistakably soca. Stag ambassadors Bunji Garlin and Super Jigga TC are some of the artistes featured on the rhythm, along with other soca artistes like Kes, Swappi, Deuce Man and Fyah Empress.
According to First Klase productions room, popular names will be releasing their songs on the Stag rhythm later on this year.
Trinidad’s Marketing Manager for Stag, Shane Ramjit, said he was very excited to see the reaction of the Trinidad and Tobago public to the rhythms. “It makes sense that a brand like Stag would undertake such an opportunity” he has stated, “Stag is about innovation, the new generation and raw talent,” he said. The Stag rhythm was launched on the airwaves and social media yesterday, and is one of many big items Stag has in store for 2013.
