Miss India Worldwide, Alana Seebarran had the privilege of visiting India which was made possible through LUX Entertainment after winning the coveted title in Suriname earlier this year.
During her visit to the magnificent land, Seebarran got a taste of the bustling Bollywood film industry which she described as “an opportunity of a lifetime”. Guyana’s beauty ambassador was treated to some of the most expensive dinners and shopping sprees but was more excited to hit the theatre where she viewed the latest Indian movie “Student of the Year”.
Seebarran also experienced the cultural way of commute – the rickshaw ride, but was more amazed by the crowded streets in that country.
The queen also flew to New Delhi to visit the Taj Mahal and was blown away by the architectural designs of the building. It is one of the landmarks one must visit when in India. Her sightseeing continued with a visit to the Delhi Gate.
Seebarran also paid a courtesy call on Guyana’s Ambassador to India Ronald Gajraj before sitting down to a lengthy interview which was later televised on all local television channels in India. Due to the death of renowned director, Yash Chopra some of the other activities planned were cancelled. Accompanying her was franchise holder for the Miss India Guyana Chandini Ramnarain and Miss India Guyana 2010 Lucria Rambalak.
