(Gordon Moseley.) Chris Brown team signed Guyana Show contract on October 5, 2012. Received Advance payment on October 10.
Sources close to the Hits and Jams Entertainment Company who are familiar
with the planning of the UNFORGETTABLE II Mega Concert say not only was Chris Brown confirmed for the Guyana Show on December 26 but contracts were signed on October 5 and advance payments were made 5 days later.
Sources close to the team who have seen all the documentation related to the show said after the contract was signed between Brown’s Booking Agent and HJ on October 5, over US$150,000 was transferred to Brown’s representatives on October 10 through a local commercial bank.
The team acknowledged receipt of the money the next day and give the all clear for announcements to be made about the visit by the artiste to the country to perform at the show as the headline act.
The E! News website reported a “rep” from Brown’s camp as saying that the show was not confirmed. The money and paper trail between Hits & Jams and Brown’s representatives now disputes that and shows that confirmation was in place since early October.
Now there are reports that Chris Brown’s management may have really wanted a later date for the show since they may have signed on for a more lucrative show the day after the Guyana show and getting to that show from Guyana in time would have created some logistical problems for the artiste.
When Chris Brown’s team used the excuse of protests in Guyana as the reason for opting out of the Guyana show at this time, they may not have expected all the attention from the international press. TV Networks and Media houses across the globe have been reporting on the story through the Associated Press.
