Adrian Dutchin ready for 2013

Three time Soca Monarch, Adrian Dutchin, is preparing for the Carib Soca Monarch 2013, is optimistic that his entry into the competition will make a big impact.

So far, Adrian Dutchin has a number of singles under his belt, and with a new release, he is feeling accomplished. Some of his tunes include “Bumper Fever”; “Without You” and “For Me”, featuring Peter Ram and others.  The new single is called “Juck”, which is an original piece composed by the soca sensation and produced by Trinidadian, Shawn “Mastamind” Nowel, who is now a resident of the United States.

Dutchin explained that the song is a high energy piece, and it aims to put listeners on the wild side. “Juck” will be his song for the 2013 Carib Soca Monarch. He said he wants his Guyanese fans to gyrate and “get on bad” when they go to the parties, and as such, he decided to start them up with “Juck”.  His last Carib Soca Monarch entry was “I Am a Guyanese”, a patriotic song, but this year, he wants to move away from patriotism and show his fans who really is Adrian Dutchin. “For me, I would say, it has been a while since I did something fast and high energy, I had a blast recording it and even more so when I preformed it… I hope my fans like it, all I can do is hope,” he said hopingly.

He will be performing the song for the first time on February 3, at the Mckenzie Sports Club Ground, at the semi-finals of the Carib Soca Monarch, and later in the month at the finals at the National Park.

Dutchin will also be entering the Road March competition, and no doubt, he will be on the Guyana Telephone and Telegraph costume and float parade, on February 23.
