Adding to her list of endeavours, Sonia Noel has partnered with the leading tourism and entertainment guide in the Caribbean, “Island Xclusive”.
On her recent visit to St Lucia, the Guyanese fashion designer met with Jeanille Bonterre, executive producer and host of the travelogue show, and had the opportunity to outfit Bonterre for one of her shows. Bonterre reported said that wearing a Sonia Noel piece has always been a dream of hers and she cannot believe it’s finally happening. The proactive Noel, who touted the wonders of Guyana, was able to convince the “Island Xclusive” team to visit Guyana and showcase us like never before as a hotspot for tourism and cultural exploration.

Bonterre’s experience and infectious personality set her apart from thousands of international candidates and won the hearts of casting directors and executives at MTV Networks who were in search of a unique face and voice to represent their brand in the Caribbean.
They brought her to MTV’s TEMPO, the first ever Pan-Caribbean network, as the host and producer of her own show “Downtown Island”, their concert series “Live and Direct”; she was also the spokesperson for their Caribbean HIV/AIDS awareness campaign CHOICES.
