This New Year’s eve, the place to be is at Palm Court for its inaugural “Magical Ball” and dinner. The event is expected to leave patrons breathless and will comprise the “majestical ball” drop at midnight on December 31.
The “majestical ball” is six feet in diameter and made of steel and aluminum. It will be suspended several feet in mid-air and on the stroke of midnight; the ball will be released slowly from a crane boom. The ball drop signifies the beginning of a new year. It would be an experience no one would want to miss.
This event will be the beginning of a new tradition here in Guyana, and will create a Timesquare-like atmosphere in Main Street.
This will be the start of a new tradition for Guyanese as Palm Court will host this magnificent “ball drop” annually, and every year, the ball will be made bigger.
Palm Court is encouraging the public to be a part of the celebration that will leave them with fond memories for a long time.
This event will also mark one of Palm Court’s first formal New Years eve celebration in their newly opened “Kokomo Room” located on the second floor of the bar.
The room was designed to comfortably seat 200 guests for the grand celebration. Guests who purchase tickets will have exclusive access to the balcony where they can see the magnificent display at midnight on December 31.
Tickets cost 25,000 and will include an extravagant buffet dinner and an all inclusive open bar all night long. Of course, the deejays will be rocking the floor. Persons who wish to just be a part of the “ball dropping” have to pay $5000 and will get a complimentary breakfast.
