Local cellphone service provider Digicel has captured a number of the top prizes for the Mashramani float parade.
The Mash Secretariat announced Monday that Digicel won the prize for Large Full Costume Band and Semi Costume band beating out Ansa Mcal and Banks DIH in the same categories. Adrian Dutchin was crowned Road March King again.
For the costume and band parade, Individual Pieces, Ansa McAl Trading topped that position with king, followed by Banks DIH Ltd, queen and Digicel, male and female.
In the Full costume large category Digicel, Ansa McAl Trading and Banks DIH Ltd gained first, second and third respectively.
The Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Amerindian Affairs and Region Three copped first, second and third respectively in the medium category and for the small category, Ministry of Education secured the first, Linden Technical Institute second and Rusal third.
Digicel, Banks DIH Ltd and the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment copped the Semi costume large category in the first, second and third respectively.
Meanwhile in the medium category, Slingshot gained first, Ministry of Agriculture second and Region Five came third. Apsara and Lux Entertainment topped the Small category.
For the Floats, in the Non commercial category, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport topped that position followed by the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment and Region Six respectively.
The commercial category as won by Banks DIH Ltd followed by Apsara and Lux Entertainment in second position.
Region Three dominated the Regional Full Costume category, followed by Regions Four and Six respectively.
For the Individual Pieces, Region Three copped both king and queen while in the Non commercial category, Region Six emerged winner
