Three- time Carib Soca Monarch, Adrian Dutchin is one step closer to winning his fourth Carib Soca Monarch title after he won the quarter finals round of the competition held Saturday evening at the Mackenzie Sports Club ground, Linden.
Dutchin delivering “Jook”, took Linden by storm and left his fans still trying to sort out their wining positions. His performance had patrons getting their groove on during his four minute presentation.
The evening saw some excellent and some poor performances from the 21 artistes who vied to secure spots in the semi- finals of the competition billed for Berbice on February 9.
After the more than three hours of intense competition, the judges revealed the names of the 17 artists who will be progressing into the semi- finals. Apart from Dutchin, the other 16 to progress are: Lindener George Anthony Abrams, Quacy Coates, Orlando “ Bonesman” Johashen, Vanilla and B52, Jamal G- Money” Gittens, Ernesta Nelson, Kwesi Edmonson, Shondel London, King Shepherd, Jonathan “ Lil Red” King, Colbert Dublin, Jermaine Mac Bean, James Gordon, King Murphy, Roger Bowen, and Compton Boyce.
Those who did not make it to the next round were: Ivelaw Maxwell, Atiola Peters, Yohlanda Kerr, and Onassis Croker.
