Cold shoulder for Tommy Lee in T&T

He may be hot property in Jamaica, but singjay Tommy Lee Sparta did not get the red carpet treatment on his first visit to Trinidad and Tobago.

The controversial entertainer, known as Uncle Demon in dancehall circles, drew only a handful of fans to Guarracarra Park in southern Trinidad. Due to the low turnout, he did not perform.

The venue is one of the country’s oldest, and traditionally hosts first-class cricket matches.

According to the Trinidadian website, etceterabuzz.com, Tommy Lee Sparta arrived in the Trinidad and Tobago capital Port of Spain on Friday and did the radio rounds promoting the show and his latest songs.

The website said Tommy Lee Sparta is popular among Trinidadian youth through songs like Some Bwoy, Psycho, Buss A Blank and We Want Paper.
