Konshens and Raine Seville recently had the social network buzzing with activity after pictures were released of the pair posing in rather raunchy sexual positions.
Konshens was fully clothed; on the other hand Raine Seville was wearing a small lingerie top, exposing her breasts and the entire bottom half of her body.
Raine Seville is the former girlfriend of reggae artiste Bugle and mother of his daughter. She says the controversial pictures are simply promotional images.
“It’s a song that we have coming out and I guess the pictures speak for themselves. We are young people and we are showing our sex appeal and the song we are promoting is about that,” she said.
The song is called Settle Down and will be released on Monday. Raine hinted that the lyrics of the song will somewhat reveal details of what transpired between herself and Konshens that led to the controversial pictures.
“Konshens and I have been getting a lot of calls since the release of the pictures, so I hope the song gets that same attention too. But we are simply entertaining people, we are entertainers. Kids are not our responsibility, their parents are the ones who should ensure that they don’t see certain content,” she said.
Some websites have even gone as far as saying the artistes are in a sexual relationship. When asked if herself and Konshens are a new couple, Raine replied, “Uumm … the song will speak for itself, let’s leave it at that”.
Konshens was, however, unavailable for comment.
Konshens made local news headlines late last year when he and fellow dancehall artiste/producer Leftside released an explicit music video called Clap That shot in a strip club. That video also had tongues wagging, due to the fact that the women featured in the video were naked.
