Kross Kolor School Show Postponed

Due to some unforeseen circumstances, the organisers of the annual Kross Kolor School Show which was scheduled for March 23 have announced that the date has been shifted to April 6.

The venue remains the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall and all the necessary arrangements are in place for a safe and successful hosting of the event which will feature some of the best in the local music industry.

The date was changed to accommodate students who are writing the National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA) and also to ensure that those students preparing for the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) have a final stress relief before their examinations. The event promises to be full of fun and surprises.

The students will be entertained by some of Guyana’s best artistes such as X2, Vanilla, B52, Tennicia De Freitas, Ossie O, Jovinski, Gerge Anthony “Chiney” Abrams, Prince JP, Brandon Harding, Carlvin Burnett, Charmaine Blackman and the Classique Dance Company.

They will also have the opportunity to mingle with the artistes, take photographs and get autographs while indulging in face painting, compliments of Bravo Arts.

There will also be presentations by representatives from the National Aids Programme Secretariat (NAPS) and the Presidents Youth Award: Republic of Guyana (PYARG).
The show will take the form of ‘edutainment’ which aims to provide students with the environment where they can learn about various social issues affecting youths while being entertained by their favourite Guyanese artistes, and unlike previous years, the show this year will see the introduction of new faces to the programme.

The show will also feature mascots from the various companies and students can also win prizes. Emphasis is placed on the security system which helps with the maintenance of discipline among the students and the prevention of incidents.

Tickets cost $500 and can be purchased from Colours Boutique, Giftland OfficeMax, Kross Kolor Records and the venue. The show starts at 13:00h.
