On Sunday, May 5, renowned Bollywood playback singers Alka Yagnik and Udit Narayan will perform live in concert for the first time in Guyana at the National Stadium, Providence. The sabha has advised that all arrangements are in place and patrons can expect a spectacular experience. Showtime is 19:00h, while gates open at 17:00h.
All proceeds of the concert will go towards the construction of the sabha’s Children’s Shelter “Bal Nivas” in Ankerville, Berbice. Tickets for the Alka Yagnik show cost as follows: general seating $2500, VIP reserved seating $5000, and VVIP all-inclusive tickets $20,000. Stadium parking tickets costing $1000 are also on sale.

Also to commemorate the 175th milestone, the sabha will be presenting 175 hampers in various parts of the country to the elderly descendants of Indian indentured immigrants. The first set of hampers will be presented in Berbice at the Tain Campus at the event on Sunday, April 28.
