In less than 48 hours, a new Miss India Worldwide will be crowned in Malaysia and eyeing this coveted title is Miss India Guyana Katherina Roshana. From reports out of Malaysia, Roshana has been doing extremely well among her 38 rivals.
The competition, which started on April 21, will culminate on April 27 with the grand finale. The Talent Night was held on Thursday, April 25, with the delegates showcasing their resourcefulness.
Saturday’s grand finale will see Roshana performing an opening dance and more importantly, displaying her Indian and evening gowns. She is optimistic that she will make it into the final five. If she makes it to the top five, she will have the opportunity to showcase her intelligence during the question-and-answer segment, which will decide the new queen.
As Roshana participates in the pageant with the aim of bringing home Guyana’s second Miss India Worldwide title, Guyanese are rallying for the beauty since they believe she can once again put Guyana on the world stage. Roshana promises to make it two in a row for Guyana. Representing Guyana at this international level cannot be a simple task and it will take more than Roshana’s winning way and charming personality to get this extraordinary young lady where she would like to be on Saturday evening.
Unfortunately, the new queen will not be crowned by Guyana’s own Alana Seebarran, Miss India Worldwide 2012. The decision was taken by the chairman of the International Franchise Committee and organisers in Malaysia.
