X2 duo, Adrian Dutchin and Jumo Primo delivered a spectacular performance at the sixth annual Kross Kolor School Show held on the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall tarmac on Saturday.
The occasion was attended by scores of school children from various primary and secondary schools around the city, and from all indications, they had a good time. The young and talented artistes performed a few of their popular “old” hits and swiftly shifted into gear with some of their newest singles.
Apart from X2, the show was opened with Ossie “O”, followed by Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company’s (GT&T) Jingle and Song Competition finalist Calvin Burnette, who is now a member of the Heat Wave Band. As usual, he delivered to the expectation of his fans. Next to take to the stage was “Give Dem More Fuh Talk” singer Charmaine Blackman, followed by another GT&T star, Tennicia De Freitas, who also performed with steam and energy.
The show also featured performances from reigning GT&T Jingle and Song Competition winner Brandon Harding; Jovinski, a 12-year-old who serenaded his fans, thoroughly; George Anthony Abrams took control with “Whine Attack” and B52 which created some stir on and off stage, setting the tone for Melissa Roberts, commonly known as “Vanilla”. The children went crazy upon hearing the artiste’s name. As usual, she sang her popular tune “Rage”, among others.
There were lots of give aways from GT&T including, water bottles, pens, rulers, rags and bags.
