Mackeson Real Vybez Deejay competition

The audition for the “Mackeson Real Vybez” Deejay competition will commence on April 19 in an open air atmosphere at the New Amsterdam Basketball Court. real vybz
Georgetown auditions will be hosted on April 19 at the National Cultural Centre tarmac while Lindeners can look forward to their opportunity to be auditioned on April 26 at the Mackenzie Market Square.

Following the auditions, the semi-finals, finals and grand finale will be hosted in May and will take the form of a reality TV show. The competition comes to an end on June 30.
With $1.5 million in cash and prizes, the first and second place winners will walk away with $500,000 and $300,000 respectively with the winner getting the privilege of one year’s bragging rights.

Other prizes include laptops and equipment vital for the disc jockey profession.  Disc Jockeys are allowed to have a selector assist them if needed.

Applications can be uplifted at ANSA McAL, Beterverwagting, East Coast Demerara and Berbice offices; Hits and Jams, 206 Lance Gibbs Street, Queenstown office; Chicken’s Bar in Linden and from any Mackeson brand deejay. Forms will also be available in the press.

The closing date for submission of applications is April 26, the final day of auditions. Mackeson wishes to notify the public that entry into any venue will be absolutely free and there will also be specials on Mackeson stout.

The ‘Mackeson Real Vybez’ competition will see the introduction of a new era in the local entertainment sector with more disciplined and creative disc jockeys taking the scene by storm.

No professional DJs are allowed to enter this competition as judges Moore; DJ Casual and ANSA McAL Brand Manager Anjeta Hinds, are looking for young talent hidden across Guyana. Participants are not allowed to use expletives.
