All roads will lead to the Guyana National Stadium on Saturday evening for one of the most anticipated and talked-about events, Cooler Fete 2013. The fete, organised by Pulse Entertainment, will feature some of the best in the soca business, whether it rains or not.
Party goers from all walks of life turned up in their numbers and witnessed the 2012 hosting of the event and it was dubbed the best fete ever; well, this year is expected to be bigger and more exciting.
Last year, soca sensation Machel Montano created a whirlwind at the venue and this year Kees & his Band, International Chutney King KI and the JMC 3Veni Band, Shal Marshall, Olatunji, and Five Star Akil are some of the artistes scheduled to storm the stadium’s parking lot.
Local artistes are expected to be featured in the line-up to add to the excitement and fun at an event that might see a few scattered showers. All coolers are allowed in FREE before 23:00h.
Stagefront (VIP) tickets cost US$75 ($15,000) and are available at Gizmos and Gadgets. These tickets will allow patrons to take in their coolers FREE all night! General admission tickets will cost $3000, but more will be charged at the gate. General admission patrons will be allowed to take their coolers in to the venue free before 23:00h.
No glass bottles will be allowed into the venue; no ice will be allowed in the coolers until security clearance is given; and only 2×3 (medium) coolers will be allowed.
