Mackeson is taking the excitement of the recently launched DJ competition to The Garage Bar and Grill this Friday. Music fanatics can come out to the Aubrey Barker Road location to support five of the 25 DJs who made it through to the preliminary category in this first round.
Dellon Crawford, Yohance Roberts, Andrew Billison, Quacy Coates and Keston Tyrall will be competing for their spot in the next round. The action begins at 19:00h and patrons are encouraged to visit the venue and enjoy the best in amateur disc jockeying.
The judges for the event are DJ Bevaughn Moore, DJ Casual and ANSA McAL Brand Manager Anjeta Hinds, and they will be looking for the contestant’s creativity based on the amount of genres of music played within the time allowed. They will also be judged on how well they promote the Mackeson brand and how well the crowd responds to their performances.
“Mackeson Real Vybez” is the ultimate DJ competition which aims to expose fresh, raw talent in the entertainment arena and supports the continued development of the relationship between the products, the entertainer and the service, and the party experience.
The quarter-finals, semifinals and finals are scheduled for June while the grand finale will be hosted on July 1 at the National Park. Eliminations throughout the competition will be decided both by the judges and the voting public who will do so via text messaging.
