Guyanese are asked to brace themselves for a night of nonstop laughter when Kingdom Dynamics presents “After Laugh is Cry” featuring David Mann also called “Mr Brown”. The event is set for May 19 at the National Park commencing at 19:00h.
Mr Brown will be joined by local artistes who will not only entertain the patrons but provide answers to the dilemma of domestic violence existing in our society.
“After Laugh is Cry” is a dual meaning phrase referring to the devastating effects of domestic violence in Guyana and the rest of the world. It suggests that laughter, happiness and lots of merriment precede the epidemic. This production is not only geared to provide answers but will offer preventative measures.
The main actor in the theatrical presentation is David Mann who is also a stage actor, gospel singer, and stand-up comedian. He starred in many Tyler Perry’s plays including “I Can Do Bad All By Myself”, “Madea’s Family Reunion”, “Madea’s Class Reunion”, “Meet the Browns”, and “What’s Done in the Dark”.
Mann also reprised his role as “Mr Brown” in the sitcoms Tyler Perry’s “Meet the Browns” and Tyler Perry’s “Madea Goes to Jail”. He also acted in “Madea’s Big Happy Family”. Ingeniously funny and extraordinarily talented are understatements when it comes to the multifaceted actor. He is a world renowned actor and award winner for Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series (Meet the Browns).
Tickets for the night of laughter cost $10,000 for VIP seating and $3000 for children; stage front adults $5000 and children $2000. General admission for adults cost $2500 while children will pay $1000.
