Chris Brown recorded a track with then girlfriend Rihanna for his latest album X, but now he reportedly wants it removed. The 24-year-old rap artist had been planning to include the song Put It Up that he sings with 25-year-old Rihanna, but now that their romance has cooled he isn’t so keen on it. Brown is apparently stalling the album’s release until he sees the combined musical effort cut from the track listing.
According to Billboard, Brown’s sixth studio album, X, is scheduled to be made available on July 16. “Record execs wanted that song on there, but Chris said he would rather not and wouldn’t allow the record to be released unless they took it off,” a source told Hollywood Life.
“They’re still hoping to convince Chris or pay him more to change his mind because it would be a hit.
