SASOD to host photo exhibition

The Society Against Sexual Orientation Discrimination (SASOD) will host a photo exhibition and appreciation awards ceremony on June 24 at Moray House Trust on Camp and Quamina streets, Georgetown, as part of its ongoing 10th anniversary celebrations this month.

On the same day, the organisation will also launch a documentary called, “SASOD at 10”. The announcements were made during a press conference on June 7 at the Sidewalk Café on Middle Street, Georgetown.

Earlier this month, and also as part of its anniversary celebrations, SASOD re-screened its 2011 documentary, “My Wardrobe, My Right”, which addresses the implications of cross-dressing in Guyana.

So far, the organisation has also hosted a concert, film festival and a panel discussion.
SASOD is a group based in Guyana, which is committed to eradicating discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation.
