Congratulatory message from Brandon Harding to 2013 Finalists of GT&T Jingle and Song Competition.
It is with absolute joy, I congratulate the winners of the 2013 GT&T Jingle and Song competition. Among the finalists, Ryan Hoppie has won the confidence of Guyanese and the judges and is now the reigning star. Ryan you met the challenge with determination, strength and total confidence and I truly believe you are on your way to great things.
I also extend commendation to the second place winner, Michael Small, Diana Chapman, my fellow Lindener who was adjudged third, Dorian Obermuller and Natasha Yhap who are in the forth and fifth places respectively.
Without a doubt, the 2013 competition would have provided you all with an excellent platform from which you can now follow your individual dreams to the satisfaction of your fans and with the ambition of making Guyana proud.
I believe we all share the pride in GT&T for its investment in highlighting our talents, creating bountiful opportunities for our personal growth and development in the music industry. GT&T should not only be celebrated but also honored and respected for finding, harnessing and promoting the talents of young Guyanese.
It is spirit, drive and dedication like yours that have made the GT&T competition what it is today!
As I close this chapter of my life as the 2011 Jingle star, I dare state that while I have not made a lot of noise during my two-year reign, I am hard at work and I encourage all to look forward for Brandon Harding, his team and his music as we go forth ultimately to put Guyana on the international music map yet again.
I salute you all for an outstanding performance and commitment to success.
Meanwhile Harding and his management team is offering commendation to the Kross Kolor group for the most recent hosting of the Guyana Music Forum. Through a most welcomed initiative Guyanese entertainers flocked in their numbers to the Umana Yana for what some saw as the dawn of a new beginning for music, musicians and entertainers as well as entertainment in Guyana.
The occasion was the staging of the Kross Kolor Records hosted Guyana Music Network Forum. Artistes and entertainers both known and unknown as well as rookies and those thinking of getting involved in the music business from Berbice, Essequibo and Linden were present. They listened, pontificated, shared ideas and celebrated the Burchmore Simon brainchild that makes for a networking move in a positive direction. At its conclusion the general consensus was that “it’s very encouraging.”
Amongst the monarch and competition winners as well as veterans in the forum was Brandon Harding who has held the title of reigning GTT Jingle star for two years. Hardin’s management team and Harding welcome the initiative that now awaits a network data base of talents and expertise.
“I like the idea that ‘A union is likely to be formed and the fact that we will see an eventual focus be placed on formulating a plan to influence copyrights legislation,” says Brandon Harding.
