Brandon Harding for Building-Expo

While there is yet to be an announcement of a successor for Brandon Harding out of the GT&T Jingle and song Competition the reigning star has upped his game as a prelude to launching his professional career. In fact as he continues his recordings and writings behind the scene Brandon has been one a chosen few who will serenade those gathered at the Guyana Building Expo slated for July 5-7 at the Guyana national stadium. The theme song is Guyana Rise and is true to the rise of this artiste whose aim is to make his mark as a singer internationally for the land of his birth.

The other artistes slated to perform the theme song are GT&T Jingle competition 2007 second place finisher Rene Winter-Rigby, Paul Loknauth, Guyana Junior calypso and HIV song Competition winner Tennicia Defreitas, Pastor Sean Sobers and Donnel Bascom. Since his selection the group has been going through its paces to perfect the song that epitomizes what the vision and the wisdom of the Guy-Expo is about.

Says Harding: “I see this as a special privilege because I love the message of the song and more so I am Guyanese and I’m proud of being in the selected few to open the curtain on this mega event that showcases the potential, products and services of my homeland.”

Meanwhile Harding and his management team is offering commendation to the Kross Kolor group for the most recent hosting of the Guyana Music Forum. Through a most welcomed initiative Guyanese entertainers flocked in their numbers to the Umana Yana for what some saw as the dawn of a new beginning for music, musicians and entertainers as well as entertainment in Guyana.

The occasion was the staging of the Kross Kolor Records hosted Guyana Music Network Forum. Artistes and entertainers both known and unknown as well as rookies and those thinking of getting involved in the music business from Berbice, Essequibo and Linden were present. They listened, pontificated, shared ideas and celebrated the Burchmore Simon brainchild that makes for a networking move in a positive direction. At its conclusion the general consensus was that “it’s very encouraging.”

Amongst the monarch and competition winners as well as veterans in the forum was Brandon Harding who has held the title of reigning GT&T Jingle star for two years. Hardin’s management team and Harding welcome the initiative that now awaits a network data base of talents and expertise.

“I like the idea that ‘A union is likely to be formed and the fact that we will see an eventual focus be placed on formulating a plan to influence copyrights legislation,” says Brandon Harding.
