As eight young ladies compete for the Miss Guyana Universe 2013 title come October 6, there will also be a ninth beauty making an appearance on stage, however, she will be coming to serenade the audience with her soulful music.
This is none other than American-Jamaican singer and songwriter Alaine Laughton who is known by her first name.
The pageant will be hosted at Pegasus Hotel and patrons can now look forward to a mind-blowing performance from one of Jamaica’s leading ladies as she takes to the stage on October 6, before one beautiful and equally intelligent young lady is selected to represent Guyana at the Miss Universe Pageant in Russia come November 09.
Alaine’s most popular solo singles are “No Ordinary Love”, “Forever More” and “Sacrifice”. More recently, this songstress released “Bye, Bye, Bye”, “What a lot of Love” and “Stay With Me”.
The contestants in this year’s pageant are Alicia Bess, Carla Browne, Tiffanie Nieuenkirk, Ayana Whitehead, Kenwah Cho Quan Yi, Katherina Roshana, Shyon Hoppie and Carlea Chapelle.
