Serani seems set to penetrate the international market once again courtesy of his feature on the hip hop single called Fire produced by international producer Blackout. The song features verses from 2 Chainz, Rick Ross and Bun B.
According to Serani’s manager, Julian Jones Griffith, Serani recorded the chorus for the song over a year ago. However, the producers in the United States (US), are just ready to amplify the promotions for the final product.
Fire sees the American rappers showing their ability to speak Patios over a hard-hitting rap instrumental with some dancehall elements. Rick Ross even sampled a few lines from Admiral Bailey’s Big Belly Man dancehall single.
“Serani recorded the hook over a year ago for Blackout. He hit us back earlier this year saying he played it for Bun B and he loved it. Bun added Ross and 2 Chainz and it automatically became the choice for Bun B’s first single off his new album,” Griffith said.
Fire will be distributed by Sony Red. The record label is planning to do a music video and a rigorous radio campaign to ensure the song’s success in the US market.
“It’s always good working with acts from other genres as it exposes you to different fans. Rick Ross and 2 Chainz are two of the hottest rappers in the game right now, music wise and Bun B is a hip hop icon, so I’m hoping it will put me on a bigger stage”, the No Games singer said.
Serani achieved relative international success on his own in 2008 when his single No Games charted on the Billboard. No Games went on to sell over 400,000 singles.
The artiste broke away from his former production team DASECA in 2012 and later formed Rockstone Media Records. The artiste is currently working with up-and-coming reggae/dancehall artiste Deepjahi and young producer Donny Drake.
Serani recently released a single called One Drop and will premiere the accompanying video in coming weeks.
