The music video for Shaggy’s single ‘You Girl’ which features Ne Yo premiered yesterday at 12noon (EST) on VEVO’s homepage.
‘You Girl’, which was shot on location in Jamaica is a love story which highlights the love of a Jamaican couple. Aspects of true Jamaican culture are skilfully depicted throughout the video; suggesting Jamaica as a location where love can be found.
Wisynco, manufacturers of Wata and Bigga beverages, sponsored the shoot which is geared towards showcasing Jamaica in a positive light on the international stage
The video, directed by Scorpio 21’s Renais Marshall was sponsored by Wisynco’s Bigga beverage brand when plans revealed that it was to showcase Jamaica in a positive light.
Wisynco’s Managing Director William Mahfood says “The Wisynco Group takes pride in Brand Jamaica and will continue to support ventures which promote our island in a positive way.”
The single was the first to be released from 13 track album entitled ‘Sly and Robbie Presents Shaggy Out of Many One Music’ which was released on September 24 of this year. It is the second single on the album and has topped various charts including the iTunes Reggae Chart.
