For newly-crowned Groovy Soca Monarch King 2014 Kerwin Dubois, Carnival 2014 has seen many a dream come to fruition.
From non-stop performances throughout the length and breadth of T&T to the overwhelming love and support of the public, Dubois has not only cemented his name in Trinidad but indeed also internationally.
The fact that he has managed to do so with dignity and integrity has only further lent to his appeal and augurs well for the future.
It is this appeal that has led Carib Brewery Ltd to take the bold step of welcoming Kerwin Dubois to the Carib family of Brand Ambassadors.
“We have been observing Kerwin’s development for some time, however due to several circumstances we have only recently been able to sign off on this partnership.” Colin Murray—Carib Brewery’s Sponsorship and Events manager said in a release.
“We have all heard that nothing happens before its time however and as such look forward to a mutually beneficial partnership. Kerwin is an outstanding artiste and human being and we at CBL are confident of his talent and his future and are therefore happy to invest in same.”
Dubois believes the partnership with Carib Brewery has come at an opportune time.
“For an artiste to be associated with a brand as reputable as Carib means that your brand has to carry the same reputation to ensure that the relationship is meaningful,” he said in the release.
“To me, this clearly means that while I hold the brand in high regard they feel the same about me, which is mind blowing. It is a great feeling to be backed by and associated with a brand that is not only recognised in T&T but the Caribbean and world by extension as one of the most popular beers.
“The authenticity and uniqueness of the brand is a constant reminder of where I want to be in my career while representing the Caribbean. I look forward to this newly established relationship and all the possibilities that exist and I am quite thankful to all those involved in recognising Kerwin Du Bois as a brand worthy of the association.”
Dubois joins a long line of popular talents as one of the faces of Carib Beer who will not only increase brand awareness locally but touch people of the Caribbean diaspora internationally as well. Soca music fans can therefore look out for Dubois and Carib at regional and international events and festivals where this new partnership will no doubt add to the unique vibe of each event.
According to Murray, “We at Carib Brewery have long believed in the symbiotic benefits such partnerships can bring, we see this therefore as not only an opportunity to grow the Carib beer brand but rather to assist in the growth and development of a major local talent. We look forward to working closely with Kerwin over the next two years.”
