As the twenty-four contestants enter the various stages of the E Networks Singing competition, there is at least one person who was tasked with the responsibility in making them as comfortable as possible.
This person is no other the hostess of the show which is expected to be broadcast live as the competition winds down to the final stages.
No stranger to the stage is talented Zahrah Alli, the host of emerging voices. Ali is a senior dancer of the Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha’s dance group, Dharmic Nritya Sangh, and has been performing with them for the past 18 years.
Most of you might remember her for her starry portrayal of Jiya in Bollywood Dreams (A Naya Zamana dance production).
Academically accomplished with a Bachelors degree in International Finance and Marketing and a diploma in Accounting from the University of Miami in Florida, she presently works at a private accounting firm.
Join Zahrah as she guides you through the musical journey of Emerging Voices each week. E-Networks has recently launched “Emerging Voices” in an effort to unearth good voices, fresh talent and energetic young performers who will give a boost to Guyana’s budding music industry.
The contest will focus on Hindi and Bollywood Music. The Company will be conducting a search for talented singers between the ages of 16 and 40 years to participate in the auditions for a spot as a contestant in series.
There is over $1M in prizes to be won. In addition to the overall winner, prizes will be awarded to the best performers on each show.
