Tessanne Chin rocks The Voice

JUST as she rocked the house last season, Jamaican powerhouse singer Tessanne Chin took the performance to the stage of the American talent competition The Voice during a guest appearance on Tuesday.

Chin took the opportunity to test the waters and debut her single Everything Reminds Me of You — a pop, rock, reggae-tinged track off her upcoming album.

Chin’s ‘Voice’ coach, Adam Levine, watched intently during the performance, then rose to his feet to give his former charge a standing ovation.

Following the stint, she told host Carson Daly the single comes from the album Count on My Love which is set for release in June 24.

“There’s definitely a mixture. There is something on it for everyone. I worked with some amazing people like Toby Gad, Roxie, to Supa Dups, to Diane Warren and Claude Kelly,” Chin revealed.

After her performance, she turned to social media with tweets and Instagram posts stating:

“Thank you sooo much for your overwhelming response !!!! I am super blessed with the best fans , friends and supporters !!! YOU !!! Love you.

Thanks so much everyone!!!! So happy to FINALLY be able to sing my new single for you all. Please go buy the PRE-ORDER of the album NOW!!!”

Chin is one of four former contestants set to embark on The Voice tour this summer.

The 31-stop tour, which runs from June 21 to August 2, will move across North America with stops in Texas, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, New Jersey, Maryland, Illinois, Ohio, California, Missouri, Oregon, Nevada, and cities in Canada.

So far, Chin and her runners-up Will Champlin and Jacquie Lee as well as Dia Frampton, from season one, have been billed for the tour.
