Tanya Stephens has released yet another gem from the Guilty Album project, her latest commercial effort.
The song is titled Pon Di Side and is the fourth single to garner the required attention from the artiste and subsequently an accompanying video.
Pon Di Side showcases a couple falling into the rudimentary relationship motions over time and then indulging in a bit of role playing to spice up their marriage.
The video was shot at Villa Mistral in St John, US Virgin Islands, by a team from the St John and St Thomas islands. Directors were Dwight Winston, Rashad Martinez and Sean David while producers were Forever Kings, Sdot and Digitak Films,
Tanya had high praises for the entire team which organised and executed the video shoot at a moment’s notice and proved to be professional, resourceful and extremely creative. Tanya also loved the idea of shooting the video in this particular Caribbean island.
“Long-term relationships run the risk of becoming routine and boring but it’s ridiculous to condemn a good thing simply because you lack excitement. In Pon Di Side I suggest couples do to each other whatever an outsider would do in a fling. Do it like someone ‘pon di side’,” Tanya said. She recently returned from a short Guilty album promotional run to a few states in the US and parts of the Caribbean. Guilty is her first commercial release since her 2007 album Rebelution. She will be heading out again for a Summer European Tour experience in July and August.
