Bunji & Alkaline for Jamzone Regional Night

Soca meets Dancehall this Saturday when the ultimate Jamzone Summer event will be hosted at the National Stadium featuring two of the most talked about artists today; explosive Ragga Soca Superstar Bunji Garlin and Dancehall’s newest breakthrough artist Alkaline, said to be “the next Vybz Kartel”!

With the combination of these powerhouses, it is difficult to determine the headliner but one thing is for sure, patrons can expect invigorating performances come August 23!

With hits like ‘By D Bar’, ‘Jump Up’, ‘Plenty Gal, ‘Tun Up’ and more recently songs that have been sending shockwaves throughout the Caribbean and other parts of the world ‘Red Light District’, ‘Carnival Tabanca’, ‘Truck on the Road and ‘Differentology’, Ian ‘Bunji Garlin’ Alvarez is sure to rock the venue! He will be joined by Fay-Ann Lyons and the Vikings Band.

Meanwhile, Alkaline, whose real name is Farlan Bartley and is popularly known for his tattooed eyes, comes to the fore with a ton of hardcore rhymes, killer hooks and slick production. He is undoubtedly one of ‘the baddest’ lyricists to keep your eyes on. His personal style is not that of a typical artist but he is known for his urban edgy fashion with a hardcore appeal. A few of his most popular songs are ‘123’, ‘Things Mi Love’ and ‘Mouth Talk’.

Garlin is no stranger to Guyana or the Jamzone stage and is known to be an unstoppable performer as this quality is paired with his astounding vocal flair leaving fans mesmerized long after he leaves the stage. On the other hand, this will be Alkaline’s first performance in Guyana but we expect no less from this young artist!
