Jamzone all set for Brooklyn!

On Saturday, August 9, 2014, Guyana’s largest summer event, Jamzone Summer Break, makes its North American debut at the Village in Brooklyn, New York!

While the one day affair can be seen as an abbreviated version of the local 10-day event, there will be no lessening in the colour, fun and intensity that has come to be associated with the annual festival. The local performing contingent, as well as the headliner acts that will be taking the stage reflects Hits and Jams Entertainment’s ever evolving goal to provide high quality entertainment.

Jamaica’s Dancehall Superstar Mavado, St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ Soca Maestro Skinny Fabulous and Guyana’s Song Bird Timeka Marshall are among the talented list of performers who will come together and execute the ultimate inaugural NYC edition of Guyana’s most exciting event!

Also making appearances are Lisa Punch, Adrian Dutchin, Jumo Primo, Jay Anderson, Fojo, Shelly G and Malcolm Ferreira aka Mr. Wickedee! Among the Deejays are DJ Energy, DJ Bevaughn, DJ Norie from Power 105, Banky Hype and Elegance Sounds DJs. The Boom will also have a presence at the event with representation by The Hangout Hostess Feliz Robertson, Host of the Midday Mix Stan Gouveia and Wickedee Host Mr. Gouveia. Also there for ‘meet and greet’ will be Miss Jamzone Guyana 2014 Soyini Fraser.

While this will be the first year for Jamzone to be hosted in the U.S., the event is in its fourteenth year in Guyana where it is established as the greatest calendar event. Promoters are aiming for Guyana’s most anticipated event to make a similar impact on the international scene as we generate the ultimate Brooklyn shutdown, Guyanese style!
