Linden Town Week will run from April 25 to May 4.
Devine Entertainment has the exclusive franchise for the event and the group has been working around the clock to make sure that the event is well-coordinated and executed.
Activities will be held in various villages in the Mining Community.
The list of activities, which will be held in various wards of the town, will commence on Saturday, April 25 with three exciting events – the Bob Semple Yankee
Party; Wisroc Village Day; and the most anticipated, the Miss Linden Town Week Pageant. There will be several other activities aimed at assisting the elderly, including the Senior Citizens Luncheon.
Reunions, a visual arts exhibition, Labour Day March, Heritage Day and Culinary Display are among the other events slated to enliven the community.
The children will not be left out, since there will be a variety of educational activities during the weeklong celebrations, including job fairs, essay competitions, Spelling Bs, a health fair, fitness walks, storytelling.
The most talked-about event of the week, the Miss Big and Beautiful Pageant is set for April 30 at the Mackenzie Sports Club Ground.
The final events of the week of celebrations are the Kiddies Fair and the International Concert, featuring Demarco, Daune Stephenson, Skinny Fabulous, Jumo Primo, Lil J, George Abrams, Jackie Jaxx and Rawlo, also slated for April 30, followed by the Big Wash Down the next day at Watooka Pool.
