The international T20 stars will invade the Stadium on Saturday to play in the feature Unity Cricket game under lights at 19:30h.
The Ramnaresh Sarwan-led Legacy All Stars face off with the 007 Warriors, which will be led by Christopher Barnwell to climax a day of fun and frolic for the entire family in an attempt to forge national unity through sports.
Chris Gayle has never made a century in Guyana, but he said goodbye to the Big Bash in Australia with the joint fastest ever T20 fifty from just 12 balls and could correct that statistic here on Saturday.
Gayle will have to contend with very strong bowling attack, which includes Reyad Emrit, Ronsford Beaton, Jason Holder, Daren Sammy, Veerasammy Permaul and Samuel Badree.
Any fan in the stands who takes a one handed catch will be US$500 richer and if Gayle cuts loose they could have plenty of opportunity to do so.
Early bird’ tickets, cost $2,000, however from tomorrow tickets will cost $3,000 and are expected to be sold out before weekend.
Children under 12 will be admitted free, providing they do not use a seat in the stands.
Guyana skipper Leon Johnson was forced to pull out due a shoulder injury, while Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Andre Russell and Krishmar Santokie are unavailable due to their participation in various T20 leagues around the world.
