Sia Collaborates with Sean Paul

If you figured Sia wouldn’t appear in the lyric video for Cheap Thrills, you figured right. The enigmatic Aussie singer and songwriter has dropped the latest video from her new album, This is Acting. As far as lyrics clips go, it’s more entertaining than most.

The black & white clip, directed by Lior Molcho, parodies those variety shows with awkward dancing contests you’ve seen on retrospective ’60s documentaries (visually, think Nirvana’s great In Bloom). And, then, a new type of dance breaks out with some energetic faceless folks in Sia wigs.

Cheap Thrills, originally written for Rihanna and featuring a new verse from reggae artist Sean Paul, follows the release of the official video for Alive, also lifted from This is Acting.

Sia’s seventh studio album this week opened at No. 1 in Australia and No. 3 in the U.K.
