SASOD presents BLACKOUT

The Society Against Sexual Orientation Discrimination (SASOD) presents its “BLACKOUT: All – Black Affair” Party on Saturday, April 30 at Dutch Bottle, 10 North Road, between Light and Cummings Streets, Bourda.

The party starts at 9 PM. DJ Kerry is on board to keep persons energized by playing the best hits in all genres of music. Added attractions include BLACKOUT cocktails and shots. Partygoers are urged to come decked out in their best black attire. Special prizes will be given away for the “Best All-Black Swag.” Partons will also receive free glowsticks upon entry.

Limited pre-sold tickets for the event cost $1000 and can be bought from the SASOD Office, 169 Charlotte Street; Oasis Cafe, 125 Carmichael Street; That Look Boutique, 235 South Road; Java Coffee Bar, 154 Charlotte & King Streets and D & D Bar, Mon Repos. Admission at the door is $1500.

All proceeds from this fundraising event will to SASOD’s LGBT Community Centre Fund to build a safe space and shelter for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) Guyanese.

There will be HIV testing and counseling on site which is supported by USAID’s Advancing Partners and Communities (APC) – Guyana Project.
