Shaggy to launch new label

Shaggy is set to launch his new label Ranch Entertainment Inc. The launch will take place at the Behind the Screen event at Usain Bolt’s Tracks and Records, Jamaica.

After 18 years together, Shaggy announced his split from the Big Yard music group and Robert Livingston and since then, he has been working assiduously on his new venture.

“We already did a launch in New York and now we’re doing the Jamaican one. Pretty much everyone that I was doing work with at Big Yard are involved in my new label,” Shaggy said.

He went on to say that on Tuesday night, fans will be treated to two new premieres.

“On Tuesday night, we’ll also be premiering two new videos – Love Jam which features Red Fox and GC and Couple Up which features Konshens. This launch is basically to let people know, who might not be aware, that we are now a separate entity from Big Yard,” Shaggy added.

Red Fox and GC are already signed to the reggae fusion label and will be treating fans to a world-class performance come Tuesday night.

“It’s gonna be a great party. I always have guests passing through so anything is possible,” Shaggy said.

In the meantime, Shaggy is also focused on his new album produced by Sly and Robbie.

“We haven’t come up with a title yet but we are just about ready to do the final mixing. We’re gonna have collabs with Ne-Yo, Beres Hammond, Chronixx and Jr Gong.”

Ranch Entertainment is based both in New York and Jamaica, and aims to take Jamaica’s greatest talents into the mainstream.
