KipRich working on third album

Kiprich has been off the scene for a while and has said he has been mostly out of Jamaica working on his third album that he is yet to name.

“I was in England after the whole Sting vibes. I was in the studio working with producers from over that side,” he has said.

“Mi a work pon this album so a serious time and effort mi a put into it. Plus mi have singles weh mi ago drop before the album come out. Mi a get everything together fi just come at the people full force.”

KipRich added that he is trying to make the album as authentic as possible.

“How mi a try do da album ya is like mi a try get the four corners of music. Girl song ago deh pon it, it have a likkle gangster vibe, it ago have likkle culture vibe and mi still ago do a bit of drama same way. The songs weh mi a do pon this album ago have different sounds. They are going to be more soulful, something deeper,” said KipRich, whose previous albums were Outta Road (2006) and Drama King (2008).

This time around, however, KipRich promises a much better album than his previous albums.

“It’s definitely gonna be a better album. I have more experience ’bout the whole album thing than back in the day. That’s why mi even take so long fi do another album ’cause mi waan get it right,” he said.

Based on the authentic reggae content, KipRich said his album will do well, especially with the right promotion.

He noted that the album should be released by summer, as he wants to release it before his tour in August. In the coming weeks, he said he will release the music video for a recent song called Brace. In recent times, he also collaborated with British R&B singer Keisha White, for a song called My Heart Is A Jail. In the near future, he will also release songs like New Gal and Officer.
