All roads will lead to the Buxton Community Centre Ground for the 8th Annual Buxton/Foulis Mash and Soca Bacchanal on Sunday.
The road tramp is expected to commence at 12:00h from President’s College Road, Golden Grove which will see thousands of revellers decked out in various costumes gyrating to soca vibes.
The road tramp will see participation from Buxton, Melanie, Vryheid Lust, Plaisance, Beterverwagting and other villages. The revelling will culminate at the Buxton Community Centre Ground where the bacchanal will go into full swing.
Apart from the revelling, there will be lots of games for children ranging from trampolines to merry go-round, bouncy castles and the main attraction, face painting. There will also be well stocked food and drink bars.
As the sun sets, it will be a soca fete which will feature some of the best in the soca business including Kiprich from Jamaica; Lil Rick from Barbados; Guyana’s own soca sensation, X2 and two surprise soca artistes.
Tickets to the soca bacchanal cost $1200 and are available at Giftland Office- Max and Benjamin Bakery.
