Sean Paul releases new single

Sean Paul released on Monday The Other Side Of Love, a new track off his untitled sixth studio album, due out this fall on Atlantic/VP Records.

Co-produced by Benny Blanco and The Cataracs, the uptempo dance track provides a taste of what’s to come off Paul’s new project, which sees him continuing to merge dancehall with various genres of music and showcase its global influence.

“I am excited for my fans to be able to hear some of the new music I have been working on for the album,” said Sean Paul. “I wanted to give everyone a taste of the diversity that will be featured on this project and show how influential dancehall is in every type of music.”

The new music comes hot on the heels of the release of the international smash Tomahawk Technique, which netted Sean Paul yet another Grammy¨ nomination and saw a Top 10 debut in seven countries, including two Gold certifications. The lead singles from the project sold more than five million copies combined and received several platinum and gold certifications.

Tomahawk Technique was the next step in Paul’s continual pop dominance, in a wave of classic albums that also include, the multi-platinum, Grammy-winning classic Dutty Rock and the platinum smash The Trinity.

With an undeniable track record for crafting hit singles as a solo artiste, including cuts like Get Busy, Gimme The Light, Like Glue, We Be Burnin and Temperature, as well as a history of taking other artistes’ songs to the next level through tracks like Beyonce’s Baby Boy, Jay Sean’s Do You Remember and The Saturday’s recent #1 UK hit What About Us, Sean Paul has established himself as one of the seminal pop voices of his generation.

These successes have earned him a plethora of awards including the 2006 American Music Award for Favourite Pop/Rock Male Artiste, and seen him tour more than 100 countries, including a recent 10-city sold-out tour in Germany.
