Wayne Marshall to release True Colours

WAYNE Marshall is currently gearing up to release True Colours, the follow-up album to his 2003 debut Marshall Law.

The posse cut Go Hard was the album’s first promotional release. This truly served its purpose by infiltrating the streets and setting the tone for I Know, the lead single off True Colours.

I Know takes listeners back to the mid-1980s dancehall, where sound clashes where in its heyday, and the Jamaican music make-up was filled with competitive artistes who executed a barrage of braggadocious rhymes.

Wayne Marshall does an excellent job at capturing this atmosphere, as I Know literally creates a sonic landscape of an authentic street dance.

Helping to paint this picture is the first-rate throwback digital dancehall instrumentation produced by Damian ‘Jr Gong’ Marley, who also serves as the executive producer for Marshall’s upcoming project.

Marshall’s confident delivery when toasting, witty similes and metaphors, are complimented by a melodious chorus that doesn’t take anything away from this Jamaican Rude Boy-esque jam.

I Know should be a hit, with an international appeal to lovers of authentic reggae and dancehall music worldwide.
