Former Slingerz Family Disc Jockey Sheldon Cheddie, also known as “DJ Cheddie” was executed a short distance away from his J9-946 Jackson Street, Tucville residence on Monday night.
According to reports, Cheddie, along with four other friends, was drinking under a shed in the vicinity of Jackson Street, when two gunmen confronted them approximately 20:49h. The former DJ was reportedly singled out and shot about four times.
The armed men fled on foot, but the sight of the gun(s) did not deter Cheddie’s friends from pursuing them. One of the suspects was caught and severely beaten. He was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital.
Cheddie would have been 37 years old on September 27, and leaves to mourn five children, the youngest being nine and the eldest 18 years old.
