Adrian Dutchin wins at 2013 WIMA

For two years straight, Guyana’s, Adrian Dutchin, has copped the Best Performer of the Year award when the West Indian Music Award ceremony was held in Queens, New York.
Dutchin also received the award for the Best Soca Song of the Year with “Jook”.

In a recent interview, Dutchin expressed his appreciation to the WIMA and thanked them for honouring Guyanese artistes in Guyana and further afield. He said that the award has encouraged him to do more in order to please his fans. He is also hopeful and optimistic that other Guyanese artistes will be recognised in due time.Adrian Dutchin who is also a member of singing group X2 explained that one day Guyanese music and artistes will gain due respect.

Dutchin also disclosed that he is working on a number of new releases and hopes to release them before Guyana’s 44th republic celebrations. He promises that with the new releases, Guyanese are bound to get their grooves on.
