The 13th King’s Jewellery World duck curry competition is slated for November 17 at the Guyana National Stadium.
This year’s competition will be a clash of the champions. Five groups are coming from Trinidad and three are expected to come from Suriname. The group that participated in the international competition is also expected to participate in the competition.
Those slated to perform are Guyana’s Baboo, Terry Gajraj; five time international chutney monarch, Rikki Jai; Guyana’s chutney queen, Fiona Singh along with a popular dance group out of Trinidad and Tobago.
The first prize is a whopping $1 million and 25 groups are expected to participate. .
