Foot Steps has expanded its business operations, with the opening of a new branch today in the capital city, at Longden and Croal streets, Georgetown in the former Salt and Pepper Food Court building.
Foot Steps Marketing Manager Michael Alleyne said the company decided to open a new branch to better cater for the needs of its customers, given the success of the recently-opened mega store at Regent and Camp streets. Foot Steps launched its multibillion-dollar mega store in October 2012. The 58,300 square-foot, six-storey building houses a top-notch restaurant, a shopping mall and a fast food service. The company also has a branch at Regent and Charlotte Streets, Georgetown.
According to him, the company has been performing well, and the local business climate is a catalyst for its ongoing expansion.
Alleyne said the new location will offer the same products and services in a spacious and comfortable environment. Foot Steps is leasing the three-storey building, which it has refurbished and given a facelift, on a long-term basis.
He added that the new branch has created employment for some 40 persons; this is in addition to the 200 plus persons employed by the company on a full-time basis. As the festive season kicks in, part-time staff will be employed.
